Viva AMSN 5:25 Experience the sights and sounds of the 16th Annual Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses Conference. NurseTV delivers inside access into the AMSN Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada - from the engaging speakers to the interactive exhibit hall and the playful scrubs fashion show. A speech by the Academy Board President started off the conference as she discussed the growth of the Med Surg specialty within the nursing community. The key-note speaker, a co-author of Chicken Soup for the Nurse's Soul, shared stories that inspired, uplifted and, at times, got some laughs. A highlight of the conference was a session on shaping and improving the nursing image. There was also a session on the importance of writing manuscripts in helping to increase the nursing community of knowledge. The 1,100 attendants, a record-breaking number, enjoyed an exhibition featuring new blood pressure technology, the latest in foot care and hospital beds and stylish uniforms.
