Hi!
I am considering travel nursing to Florida. I have been a Med/Surg nurse for 1.5 years. Is this enough?
I love traveling and adventure, but I am VERY nervous about travel nursing.
ANY advice would be greatly appreciated. I will be traveling with All About Staffing. Has anyone had any positive/negative experiences at HCA hospitals in FL?
Tips/pointers would be great!
I am so excited and hope this works out Thank you so very much! |

Florida deals with mostly aged population. In summer be prepared for low census - which means no pay. Agency nurses get sent home first! I have only a years experience as a nurse in Florida and what I see in this state I didn't like much. The pay is good, but is compared to the cost of living which is expensive. I had a friend work for HCA who said the patient load was also excessive. I'm returning to Iowa because unfortunately for me, the sunny state is not what it's cracked up to be. Good Luck. |
