As we all know, one can make more money as a staff nurse than they can taking a teaching position. Does anyone have "first hand" knowledge that they would like to share about this topic?

Staff nurses do not make more money than I do working at a local university in Canada. I am at the top of the union payscale for the university faculty
However staff nurses can make more money than I do. They would have to be at the top of the pay scale ( that takes up to nine years) and get overtime. They get over time I do not so they can may make more money per year.
I get two months vacation from year one - staff nurses have to work for 20 or more years to get that much paid vacation.

I do not do shift work and can work from home.
I never have to work more than 4 hours in a row if I do not want to.

Not everything about the value of a job is measured in money.
