Hi, I am a psych nurse, new to travel nursing. I completed two assignments in North Carolina with a company that I wasn't too impressed with. I am in search of a new company and a new job. I was always under the impression that travel nurses make SO MUCH money, but what I have been told by most of the companies is that they have no say-so in what we make, they basically just pay for housing and travel reimbursement. Is this true? I am very surprised by how low the pay rate is for many of the assignments. I am also finding it hard to get a job at all. Any suggestions on that? Do I need to make my name known to just one company so they will submit me early-on when a job comes up or work with many companies? Please help! |
