First off, I am not a recruiter. What I am trying to accomplish is in convincing my local hospital to reinstate a seasonal contract – 13 wks. They had these contracts for most of last year and then had a hiring freeze.

They are looking for ICU and med/surg nurses both day and night shifts. Last year they paid $46/hr, no differentials. They provide no housing but the stipend was decent and its easy enough to find a short term living arrangement here. Not sure what they will offer this year.

The hospital is the Christus Spohn Health system in Corpus Christi, TX. Beautiful, fairly warm winters for many outdoor activities.

The hospital, like so many, is short staffed – especially since the hiring freeze but not a bad place to work.

So, getting back to what I want to accomplish. If this position sounds like something you might be interested in you can contact the hospitals nurse recruiter – Melody Alvarado at melody.alvarado@christushealth.org

I’m hoping that if she hears from several nurses who might be interested – they will have to re-instate the contract.

Let me know if I can answer any questions.
