I work in longterm care and at the facility that I work our DON is a bully. What she likes to do is call all the nurses into her office just so she can single out one nurse and chastize her. Well, the last time is was my turn to be singled out. She screamed called me names as well as a CRAPPY nurse. When one tries to explain themselves she twists everything and makes one look like a liar. I was going to walk out, however, I was not sure if this would be grounds for her to terminate me. I am tired of her abuse not just to myself, but, to the other nurses as well. I am seeking employment elsewhere, however, how do I deal with this abusive bully until then. What are my rights etc. |

There appears to be alot of that going around, but if you go to www.bullinginstitute.org, they have alot of information about how to deal with workplace bullying. It is actually a form of abuse and you might want to warn her/him anony. |
