Hello, I am a newly qualified nurse and have studied in the UK for 3 years. We've recently found out that there are no jobs for the majority of the 5000 nurses that have graduated this March, this is due to the lack of money in the NHS and over spending in the previous financial year!!
We are all having to face becoming unemployed, changing career, or working as a care assistant.....unless for the very lucky ones who happen to be married to consultants who have their own private practices!!
This is the problem we are faced with, if anyone has any suggestions for me I would be grateful, I'm feeling very frustrated and angry |

Thanks but I've looked into going abroad, you need 1-2 years experience for US. NZ and some of AUS are the only places that will employ with 6 months experience but its getting that inital experience in post. |

I believe you could work in the US but you would have to take our test, the NCLEX. A nurse I'm working with nurse who graudated from the Philippines but did not get her license and now she is taking the tests for a US license. |
